Gretna Summers

Summer at Mt. Gretna has something for everyone. The Mt. Gretna Arts Council publishes an entire book of summer events. Gretna Playhouse productions are among the best of summer theatre, the Cicada Festival brings a week of musical events, and Music at Gretna attracts first-rate musicians for the entire month of August.

The Gretna Lake has a sandy beach, an old-fashioned swing and several swim-up platforms.

Located in the heart of Mt. Gretna, along route 117 next to the Jigger Shop, the GRETNA EMPORIUM is full of charm and character. Our home is the original Chautauqua's Literary and Scientific Circle Building, complete with pillars and porches.
